I love to read and my genre of choice is classic literature. But after being persuaded by a couple of my friends I agreed to read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.  I am so very glad I did not know what the book was about before I read it or I can honestly say I would have skipped the book altogether and settled in with some Tolstoy. However, once I started reading it I could not put it down and before I knew it I had read the entire trilogy. The book is pretty easy reading with adventure, heartbreak, suspense, love, violence, murder, and war. I fell in love with the characters and really cared about story. I will admit that there were a few times I almost quit reading and other times I felt sick to my stomach, but in the end I was entirely satisfied with this story and am eagerly awaiting the movie release this weekend; my childcare is arranged and my tickets are already purchased.  In preparation for the movie release this Friday, I thought it would be fun to see what Hunger games finds I could discover over on Pinterest. Enjoy these and I will see you at the theater!

  1. Love it! Can’t wait for the 23rd!

  2. I, too, never would have picked up these books on my own. I only started reading the first one when a blogger raved about it. (See, blog reviews DO generate traffic!) I am now in the middle of the second book. I’m hooked. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see the move in theaters due to other plans. But I’m sooo buying it when it comes out on DVD. Thanks for sharing the Pinterest pics.

    • We are going to see the movie in a group of 4 couples. We are all mid 30’s to early 40’s and we will all have shirts I made with a friend. I think we are a little too old for this lol.
