I love green chiles but I don’t buy them as much as I would like because I don’t often have time to roast and seed them. So I was very happy when I found out I could order Hatch green chiles that were already roasted, seeded, and chopped. The Hatch Chile Store sent me ton of chiles and I have been smiling ever since. The recipe I am sharing today as part of #15MinuteSuppers is actually an appetizer. It is simple to make and very delicious.
Hatch Green Chile Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 can jumbo/grands sized crescent rolls
- 1 cup Hatch green chiles, roasted and chopped
- 1 cup Mexican-style shredded cheese
Directions
- Unroll each crescent roll triangle.
- Fill with 1 tbs Hatch chiles and 1 tbs cheese. Be sure to leave some room around the edges so the filling won’t fall out when it is rolled.
- Roll crescent roll in usual manner.
- Bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
These can either be served whole or cut into smaller bite-sized pieces. They are best eaten warm but are also delicious at room temperature.
If you cut these into pieces be sure to serve them with some homemade salsa. Oh yum.

OMG these look so good. I would love to try this out with the chilies if I win. For me, I usually just heat up a veggie burger and sauteed squash or a quesadilla for a quickie meal.
These look sooooo good and super easy!!

Nothing is better than a fresh roasted chile. So easy to make and the flavors are phenomenal. My favorite thing to put green chilies in is chicken enchiladas yummy.
WOW that looks amazing…got any lying around? lol
These sound fascinating, and delicious. As for other recipes the guacamole is one of my favorites so that would probably be the one I would most want to try otherwise.
I love this idea! Very creative….I have so much of the chiles leftover that I’m going to have fun trying out yours and the ideas.
