Grow Your Business with the Russell Brunson 30 Day Traffic Secrets Challenge

I participated in the #TrafficSecrets 30 Day Challenge paid campaign. All opinions are my own. Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers, written by entrepreneur Russell Brunson, shares classic and foundational direct marketing techniques, and evergreen traffic strategies to help you get your dream customers to your site. Russell Brunson #TrafficSecrets When I started the Traffic Secrets challenge, I was not sure it was exactly right for me. After all, Celebrating Family does not sell a product. But then I remembered something my grandfather said to me. He was an entrepreneur himself and he was annoyed when I told him I hated sales. He chastised me a bit and told me that everyone is in sales. Basically, he argued we are all selling ourselves on a day to day basis. We want others to buy into what we believe, what we do, who we are, and so on. After some thought I realized Celebrating Family does have a product and that product is ideas that help readers celebrate their families and make life better. It may not be tangible, but it is real.

I believe in Celebrating Family and what I do here and I truly believe that my product is good. But Russell Brunson argues the biggest problem most entrepreneurs face is not creating a good product. Instead, Brunson argues the biggest problem is getting their future customers to discover them. Brunson states that businesses fail too often because they do not understand how to get consumers to find them.

My biggest takeaway from this campaign was the concept of the “dream customer.” I spent a lot of time focusing on who I want to reach with Celebrating Family. Watch the video above for a good summary of what is meant by “dream customer.” If you do not know who you are trying to reach, how will you reach them? And where in the world do you find these customers? Check out the video below for a snapshot of what Traffic Secrets suggests.

I had fun completing this challenge. It was also an educational experience that forced me to think about who I want to reach and why. During this campaign, I asked my readers questions on social media and learned more about what they need right now. I strongly believe that anyone who has a business presence online, or who wants to, should read Traffic Secrets. I feel like I have learned a lot and that I am now better equipped to serve my readers.Tracking Pixel

In Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers, I was asked to consider my dream customer (in my case, dream reader). It took me back to when I was first starting out. The book reminded me that my mess will become my message.

My experience with the Russell Brunson Traffic Secrets #TrafficSecrets

This picture was taken a couple weeks after I started Celebrating Family in March of 2011. I was knee deep in mom-life and loving it. But some things were hard for me. I wasn’t the best crafter, I struggled to provide a variety of activities and meals for the kiddos, and sometimes I felt quite inadequate. I started Celebrating Family to reach out to and help other moms just like me. Life is complicated enough, and I wanted to encourage moms (and dads) to keep it simple and celebrate family. I am grateful that Russell Brunson helped me remember that.
