One thing that comes across when you meet Rachel Carroll is her authentic concern for people in pain. Rachel has experienced chronic pain herself and that empathy shows. Her desire to help those in pain was one factor that led her to found The Neuromuscular Studio in Tempe, Arizona over 15 years ago. A second location has recently opened in Gilbert. I experienced a mini-session with Rachel and it was an interesting experience. It was not the warm and fuzzy occasion many think of when they hear the word massage. Do not get me wrong, it was enjoyable, but she warned me that she would work right up to my pain threshold and that I would be sore later. She was right! I was sore. but the way my body reacted was why I found the whole experience interesting. It almost felt like my neck and shoulders were reprogrammed, so to speak.
