One Year 'Til 40 - Climbing That Hill

One Year ‘Til 40 – Climbing That Hill

#YearTil40 - Climbing that hill.

I turned 39 this week and it gave me pause. I am definitely getting older. When I was 20, for example, I would never have used the expression “gave me pause” like I did in the first sentence. Seriously. I am a different person in so many ways but better if you ask me. When I turned 30 I thought I had reached true adulthood, but 40 seems so much older, in a good way. They say 40 is the new 30, but I don’t buy it. 40 is 40, but that is a good thing. 40 is a great excuse to look back, look forward, reassess, and evaluate goals and choices. That is what I am going to do this year and I hope you will follow along.

My year ’til 40 adventure will tackle issues big and small: fashion, life choices, fitness, beauty, social norms regarding aging, and more. I hope you will follow along and share your own stories as well.

Follow the hashtag #YearTil40 and check back here on Celebrating Family to climb that hill with me.

I am past 40, but of course, like almost all the years that past I still feel young, yet my body argues with me about it! I am excited to follow you on your year journey to 40. I am sure it will be awesome!

  2. Happy Birthday! I will be 35 this week. It feels like a big step. It does give me a lot to think about.

  3. Happy Birthday! We are the same age 😉 Isn’t that fun! Are we really that close to 40? Ugh. 🙂 Can’t wait to see where this next year takes you!
