I took my children to see The Lion King in 3D last night. It was wonderful to get to see one of my favorite Disney movies in the theater again. It was even better to get to see the movie in 3D format. I am not a big fan of 3D movies, but I really liked what Disney did with this release. The opening and closing 15 minutes of the film were particularly impressive, and the fight between Simba and Scar looked awesome. I have loved this movie since I first saw it in 1994 and it was so nice to share the big screen experience with my children.
If you have not gone to see it yet, go! As I said, Disney says they will be pulling it out of theaters on Thursday. Some believe they will keep it in longer, but with the DVD/Blu-Ray release right around the corner, I believe they will stay true to their two week timeline.

WOW, two weeks isn’t a lot of time for a movie to stay in the theatres. What a great gimick to lure movie lovers in! I cannot wait to see it, too bad I didn’t have any kido’s to take with me. Can you send my niece and nephew via UPS?
I’d really love to see it, but I don’t think I’ll be able to go to the theater. Isaiah is too little for it still. He’s scared of the theater, much less the intense scenes!

I took my girls to see this in a theater and it was great to experience it on the big screen with them. Loved it!
Aw, man, I missed it. I didn’t know it was going to be out for such a short time.

I went to see it in 3d and it was really amazing. Glad I made it as it was one of the last screenings in theatres. Thanks from Lion King London Tickets for this post.
