Mother’s Day is special to me because I love my mom very much and also because I am so blessed to be a mommy now, too. Let’s face it…moms are awesome. I grew up with the “cool mom” who all my friends just loved. She is a great cook, a wonderful singer, an artist, a strong lady, and is sharp as a tack. I love you mommy!
Which brings us to the giveaway. I am excited to be hosting my very first giveaway. I am giving away a $10 gift card to Starbucks. Ideally it would be a gift for a mom to use for a drink and a treat (you, your mom, your mother-in-law, whoever). The contest opens today and ends on Sunday, May 1. The entry period is short, but I want to be sure I can get the card to the winner before Mother’s Day. I will announce the winner on Monday morning.

I liked Celebrating Family on Facebook and posted: My favorite memory of my mom is when she worked 3 minimum wage jobs to support us 8 kids the best she could when my father abandon us until she graduated from Nursing school.
My favorite memory of my mom was all the nights she would rub my back when I was sick. It's a silly little thing, but it meant so much.

I Like Celebrating Family on Facebook as Emm Enger & one of my favorite cherished memories is the time I went to visit her for Christmas and she had made a Christmas tree etched in the new fallen snow on her porch, it was so precious as she was elderly but still had the heart of a youngster
