Gevalia Kaffe Review

Coffee seems to be a way of life lately. It seems like there is a coffee shop on every corner. I do not usually drink coffee, but since I gave tea up for Lent I have been drinking coffee from time to time. I have tried the coffees from a few chain stores and most of it tastes bitter to me. I have tried several blends and varieties and when I got the opportunity to try Gevalia Kaffe I jumped right on it.

Gevalia has been making coffee since 1853. It is the brand of choice in its native Sweden and is also the official coffee of the Swedish Royal Court. Gevalia prides itself on being rich and smooth.  The smoothness of Gevalia is evident before you even take one drink. The coffee is finely ground and it smells terrific.

Gevalia isn’t kidding when they say their coffee is never bitter. The first thing I noticed about the flavor of Gevalia was how easy it is to drink. It was not bitter and it was exceptionally smooth. I sampled two flavors, the House Blend and the French Roast. While both flavors were good, I especially enjoyed the French Roast.

Gevalia Kaffe was previously only available for purchase online but it can now be purchased off the shelf at Safeway. There are 10 varieties available to consumers:

• Gevalia Traditional Roast (ground and whole bean):
