Frozen II

Frozen II

Disney’s Frozen was a huge success and people are very excited about the release of Frozen II.  But is it an unnecessary sequel, or does it have a story worth telling?

Frozen II is a sequel that moves the story forward, but it is also an origin storyThere were many unanswered questions at the end of Frozen. Where did Elsa get her powers? Exactly what happened to her parents? Why didn’t Anna get powers? What does the future hold for Kristoff and Anna? Frozen II is a sequel that moves the story forward, but it is also an origin story. Many of the unanswered questions are addressed in Frozen II and we learn much about the characters.

Frozen II starts not long after the original movie ended. All seems well in Arendelle, until a mysterious call shakes Elsa and changes everything. Our Frozen friends must venture where they have never gone before and face dangers they never anticipated. Elsa and Anna’s promise of “no more secrets” will be tested, but will their relationship survive unscathed? Frozen II‘s 103 minutes pack in a lot of storytelling and character development. It is scarier than the original Frozen and certainly contains more peril. However, it is rated PG and will be fine for any child who has seen the first movie. Despite its more serious setting, Frozen II is still full of humor and lighthearted scenes.

Also, a few new and likeable characters are introduced. Overall, this is a movie your entire family will enjoy. Just be sure to stay after the credits for an extra laugh.
