Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee and Bakery Series Coffee

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dunkin’ Donuts. I received product samples to facilitate my In-Home party as well as a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Did you know Dunkin’ Donuts makes coffees inspired by their famous donuts? The Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series coffees to be exact. Did I get your attention? Coffee + donuts = yum. I have been hearing how fantastic Dunkin’ Donuts coffee is, but I admit, until this week I had never tried it. I also had no idea just how many different coffee products Dunkin’ Donuts offers (check out Dunkin’ at Home). I love donuts (who doesn’t) so I was excited to try out these bakery inspired coffees. I got a few fellow moms together for some socializing and coffee drinking and I might have served a few donuts but please do not tell my waistline.

I invited a couple of coffee-loving friends over for my Dunkin’ Donuts party and they were so excited to see all the coffee choices they had. The coffee samples I received were from the Bakery Series and included Chocolate Glazed Donut, Blueberry Muffin, Jelly Donut, Old-Fashioned Donut, Caramel Coffee Cake, and the newest flavor Cinnamon Coffee Roll. Before my guests stopped by, I visited the Hungry-Girl blog to check out her Dunkin’ Donuts coffee recipes. The delicious drink at the top of this post is one of her recipes, Sweet and Spicy Chocolate Glazed Donut Coffee.

Hungry Girl’s Sweet & Spicy Chocolate Glazed Donut Coffee (with just 53 calories!)

Ingredients

• 1 tsp. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1 packet no-calorie sweetener
• 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
• Dash cayenne pepper, or more to taste
• 6 oz. fresh-brewed Dunkin’ Donuts® Chocolate Glazed Donut coffee
• 2 tbsp. fat-free liquid coffee creamer

Directions

1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine chocolate chips, sweetener, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
2. Add 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) hot coffee, and microwave for 1 minute, or until chips have melted. Mix vigorously until uniform.
3. Add creamer and remaining coffee, and stir well.
4. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
5. Stir well, transfer to a tall glass filled with crushed ice, and enjoy!

Makes 1 serving.

Everyone at the party really liked the Dunkin’ Donuts coffees. The most-liked was probably the Chocolate Glazed Donut coffee which was good hot but even better in iced coffee creations. I had some brewed Chocolate Glazed Donut coffee left over after the party and I mixed in some chocolate syrup, half and half, and sugar, shook it up, and poured it over ice. It was divine! But back to the party. Check out a few of my guests enjoying their drinks. Smiles all around. My husband’s grandma came to the party saying that she did not like flavored coffee as she had tried it once about 20 years ago and it was just not for her. She had some of the Chocolate Glazed Donut hot coffee and she really enjoyed it!

The Bakery Series coffees can be purchased in your local grocery store. They are rich and flavorful and will leave your house smelling amazing! The Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series is a great way to celebrate National Coffee Day coming up on September 29. Just be sure to invite me over, okay?
