Christmas Week: The Joy of a Child

Christmas Week: The Joy of a Child

This is the last week before Christmas and most everyone is busy and running here and there all over town.  I hope you have all your gift buying and preparations done and if you don’t I hope you get everything finished up quickly and easily.  Wherever you are in the scheme of things this week, just remember to take the time to experience the joy of the season.  Sip some egg nog, eat some cookies, and take  a moment to reflect on Christmas.

Whatever you do, seek joy this week. Do not get caught up and carried away by busyness, materialism, and cynicism.  Do you remember what Christmas felt like when you were a child?  Do you remember the magic? Do you remember the awe of a newborn baby in a manger?

One of my favorite Christmas songs is Christmas Like a Child by Third day.  Check the song out in the video below. Take a minute and listen to this moving and wonderful song.  I hope you like it as much as I do and I hope your Christmas week is blessed and joyful.

  1. Hi Janice:

I love Third Day but I have never heard this song before. It is a great reminder of what Christmas is all about and it is indeed very moving.

  2. I loved the feeling of Christmas as a child. I loved that mom never made us want and she did what she knew was best. I love the Christmas spirit and everything it stands for! I have spent so many of the last Christmas holidays in AZ, I feel like I should be catching a flight soon.
