Child Hunger Ends Here – How You Can Help (And a Giveaway)

Child Hunger Ends Here

Chances are that you have never gone to bed hungry because you did not have any food to eat. If you are like the average American you have never had to worry about where your next meal will come from. But for millions of American children this is a daily reality. The tragic problem of child hunger can seem hopeless but there are so many things you can do to help. Today I am pleased to bring you one easy way you can make a difference. I am joining forces with the ConAgra Foods Child Hunger Ends Here campaign to help children facing food insecurity.

Here is how it works:

  1. Purchase participating ConAgra Foods products (look for the red push pin logo) and enter the codes into the Child Hunger Ends Here widget in my side bar (look to the left). For every code entered by August 31, 2013, ConAgra Foods will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Basically, one code = one meal! Easy peasy!
  2. Allow location services or enter your zipcode when prompted. By doing so you will be submitting your local Feeding America food bank into a competition for an 80,000-meal donation! At the end of this campaign, ten food banks in the zip codes with the most entries will receive the additional donation.
  3. Help ConAgra Foods by completing this quick 30 second survey. Taking this survey will help ConAgra Foods gauge the effectiveness of their efforts to raise awareness and make a difference with the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.
Remember, look for the red push pin in grocery stores and purchase specifically marked packages of 19 select ConAgra Foods brands. Then enter the Child Hunger Ends here code into the widget on this site (to the left).

Several celebrities have thrown their support behind this campaign including Carly Rae Jepsen, Tori Kelly, Amber Riley, and Cody Simpson. In fact, Tori, Amber and Cody have recorded versions of an original song called “Fill A Heart.”  You can download free song recordings from Cody and Amber here.

Let’s kick this effort off with a giveaway! Enter to win a $40 VISA gift card and a Tori Kelly autographed poster using the Rafflecopter form below.  Also, be sure to spread the word about this campaign and enter your codes to help raise meals for children in need.

Good luck! And remember, you can make a difference!

  1. […] Last month I told you about an awesome campaign I am a part of called Child Hunger Ends Here. I hope you are following along and entering codes to help raise meals for children in need (more about that in a minute). ConAgra Foods has done a wonderful job with this campaign and so far they have donated the monetary equivalent of 3 million meals! But they couldn’t have done that without you! There is still time to help get that number even higher so let’s keep entering those codes. […]
