Tomato Sandwich with Dill Mayo

Growing up, one of my favorite sandwiches was the tomato sandwich. My mom used to make them with tomatoes and sandwich spread, adding cheese most of the time. As I grew up, my tastes changed and I altered her version a little; I use mayo with dill and never add cheese. This is such a simple sandwich, yet it has big flavor, especially if you use real mayo and ripe high quality tomatoes. I like my tomato sandwich toasted, but the kiddos do not. Try it both ways and see how you like it.Easy Vegetarian Lunch Idea: Tomato Sandwich with Dill Mayo

  2. That sandwich looks amazing!! I would have to say some thick sliced baked bacon on that would make it over the top!!! I am to much of a pork lover not to think that way. I haven’t had a tomato sandwich in years!! I will be making one soon because your pics had my mouth watering!
