The Benefits of Soy Protein and How to Add it to Your Diet

Soy Protein

As a vegetarian, one question I get asked a lot is where I get my protein from. People seem very concerned about my protein level for some reason. Maybe that is because they know that protein is vital to good health. But they can sit back and relax because there are many nutritious vegetarian protein sources. One good vegetarian protein source is soy protein. Lucky for me (and you) there are many delicious soy protein options available and they are easy to add to your diet.

My kids love many of the soy protein sources I eat regularly, especially Morningstar Farms‘ Grillers Prime veggie burgers. They actually cheer when I serve them (and yes, they do eat beef hamburgers as well). That makes me feel great  because I know that I am filling their bellies with a good protein source without a ton of fat and cholesterol.

Which brings me to my favorite way to add soy protein to my family’s menu: vegetarian biscuits and gravy. It is simply delicious and a great way to get one of my favorite comfort foods without grease and meat. Yum. Trust me on this. You can add soy protein to your menu by substituting Morningstar Farms® Meal Starters Grillers® Recipe Crumbles™, veggie burgers, soy breakfast sausage, etc. into your regular meals.

We also recently tried the Nogii Kids Chocolate Chip bar that you see below. This bar is no candy bar. It is gluten free, nut free, contains no high fructose corn syrup, and has 490mg of Omegas!
