Real Kids Shades – Serious Eye Protection and Style

Real Kids Shades for TweensI talk a lot about the importance of making sure your kiddos wear sunblock. I grew up as a fair-skinned redhead in Arizona, before the widespread use of sunblock. I know the risks. However, parents (myself included) often slack off when it comes to protecting our children’s eyes. Did you know that, unlike skin cells, eye lenses cannot repair themselves. Once they are damaged, they are damaged forever. Eye lens cells are never replaced and over time, the harm done is cumulative and can lead to serious eye diseases and even blindness.

Real Kids Shades sunglasses

Real Kids Shades sunglasses provide full spectrum UV protection meaning they provide both 100% UVA and UVB protection. That protection is vital and you just cannot get that from novelty sunglasses. Toy sunglasses can actually be worse than not wearing sunglasses at all because shaded lenses without 100% UV protection will relax pupils, causing them to dilate and let more harmful radiation into your child’s eyes.

Real Kids Shades tween

Real Kids Shades come in five sizes, so you can find one for your child: Baby (0+), Toddler (2+), Kid (4+), Youth (7+) and Tween (10+). My son is wearing the tween size which fit him quite well. Real Kids Shades come in a large variety of styles and colors and you can also get polarized lenses. I especially like that the sunglasses are affordable.

Real Kids Shades

Real Kids Shades truly has a great product. The UV levels are third-party verified at 100%, they have a wide variety of styles, and the glasses are comfortable. Be sure to head over to their site and get shopping!
