Dragon Berry Punch

Dragon Berry Punch

Dragon Berry Punch (Just 2 ingredients and dye-free!)

I recently posted about my son’s dragon-themed birthday party and I promised to share the punch recipe with you. This punch was a big hit and we ran out much faster than I expected.

I told my son to pick a juice to mix with 7-Up. He wanted a sour punch and opted for cranberry juice, but I convinced him that most of our guests would prefer a sweet drink. We started listing all the cranberry juice combinations we could think of and my sister suggested cranberry black cherry juice. It ended up being the perfect combination.

Dragon Berry Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 two liter of 7-Up
  • 1 bottle cranberry black cherry juice cocktail (64 oz)

Directions

  1. Mix the juice and 7-Up together.
  2. Double or triple the recipe as needed.

Tips:

  • Make sure the 7-Up and juice are refrigerated and cold before making the punch
  • Do not put ice in the punch or it will get diluted as the ice melts. Instead of ice, use frozen juice. I created the cool look below by filling a muffin tin with the cranberry black cherry juice and freezing it the night before.
  • Add a floating dragon toy to the punch to add some more creativity.Dragon Punch

This punch was so yummy and sweet that I am willing to guess it would have been great even if we had used Diet 7-Up. Also, because 7-Up is all natural, the punch was all natural.  Another plus is the punch is dye-free!

Here are some basic formulas for easy party punch for kids (dye free!).

I love simple recipes that taste great. Being a 7-up and any cranberry flavor fan, this is one that would go over well in my house.

  4. Love the frozen juice idea! Good thing I found this before my sons party!! Lol I thought the dragon wings were crab legs at first… made me want them.

  5. What a neat idea! I like how the juice ice rounds look like dinosaur eggs…well at least that is what I thought…lol. Very creative!

  6. I agree that the ice looks like dinosaur eggs. Very cute. I always put a splash of 7-up in my juice. I love it!

  7. OH how cool! I am happy to see that it is also dye free – that’s important to us 🙂

  8. I wondered how you made those cool “dragon eggs” in the punch. I thought they might be plums or peeled white peaches that had absorbed the juice color. I feel silly. What a great idea!

  9. This is a cool idea! I’m tucking it away for birthday party planning. 🙂
