When Janice asked me to create a holiday treat for her site, I couldn’t wait to say yes! I have so many Christmas ideas buzzing around my head and I knew this one would be perfect here! I’m always trying to keep my kids busy with fun recipes and this is one that the kids can totally handle.
These marshmallow pops would be perfect for holiday parties, gifts, “cookie” exchanges, or for just a fun after school snack. I promise these babies are so easy.
I remember fond memories of my mom teaching me how to use candy melts for classroom treats. I was probably in the 3rd or 4th grade and we would make Christmas lollipops out of the candy melts and then make a giant homemade candy bar for my teacher. My mom had all the molds and bags and fancy equipment to get them looking great. She also bought the chocolate covered cherry mold just for me since they were (and still are) my favorite Christmas treat!
I’m passing down the tradition to my kids with fun and creative ways to use candy melts that don’t require all the special equipment. Although you will need to get some lollipop sticks, skewers, or something similar. I used a squeeze bottle to drizzle the colors, but when the kids help or I don’t feel like cleaning up the bottles, I just use zip-top baggies and snip a little bit off the corner. It works just as nice!
Christmas Marshmallow Pops
10 lollipop sticks
30 regular sized marshmallows
1 bag white candy melts
1 bag green candy melts
1 bag red candy melts
parchment or waxed paper
zip top baggies or 2 squeeze bottles
Lay out a large piece of parchment or wax paper. Gently thread three marshmallows onto each lollipop stick.
In a large microwave safe bowl, melt white candy melts according to directions on bag. Dip each stick of marshmallows in the melted candy. Use a spoon to make sure they are evenly coated. Tap on side of bowl to remove excess. Continue with other 9 pops. If candy cools too much, just pop back in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat it back up. Lay pops onto parchment to cool and harden.
Once the pops are hard to the touch, melt 1/2 bag of green and 1/2 bag of red candy melts in separate bowls. Pour into squeeze bottles or zip-top baggies (snip a tiny corner). Drizzle one color at a time over the pops. Allow to cool and harden.
Enjoy!

I love your recipe. I’m making something similar for my kids Christmas party at school. I’m taking giant marshmallows and placing them onto mini candy antes, then dipping them into green and red chocolate coating with sprinkles. I think it’ll be festive. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve have some of the equipment. I throughly enjoy making candy melt candy. Haven’t tried the marshmallows yet, oreos are good though add some extra candy (fruit roll ups and such and turn into santa)
