Celebrating Family

One of my goals in raising my children is to raise up a son and daughter who can cook for themselves by the time they leave home. We try to stick to healthier and scratch recipes when we can, but I do teach a few convenience foods like these pizza rolls. These don’t look pretty but are tasty. We use pre-made pizza dough but this can be done with any kind including dough from scratch.

My kiddos work together to make these with supervision from me. You will have to decide for yourself what your children are capable of in the kitchen. If you let your children attempt these, make sure to supervise them when they are cutting the rolls as it can be tricky.

Ingredients

  • pizza dough
  • garlic olive oil (optional)
  • Ready to roll up.

    pizza sauce

  • cheese
  • your favorite toppings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Roll pizza dough out into a rectangle.
  3. Brush dough with the garlic olive oil.
  4. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce onto dough.
  5. Add cheese and other toppings.
  6. Roll into a log (narrow side to narrow side).
  7. Cut log into one-inch slices.
  8. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  9. Cook 10-12 minutes.
